For Women
For Men
Research suggests around 70% of people with low back pain also have pelvic floor dysfunction. If your back pain keeps coming back, this may be why.
Train through your whole pregnancy.
Most women are handed vague advice: take it easy, wait six weeks, listen to your body. You deserve a real plan. Together we prep your body before birth, train safely through each trimester, and rebuild strength after.
Pelvic floor therapy during pregnancy can lower your risk of tearing, reduce leakage and pain, and speed up recovery. You can even train how to push before the big day.
First trimester is a perfect time to start, and I see clients as early as two weeks postpartum.

Private & unhurried
60 to 90 minutes, completely one-on-one, in your home or virtually. Internal assessment is always optional and always your choice.
Whole-body, not just pelvic
Your pelvic floor works with your breath, core, hips, and training load. I assess all of it, then build one plan.
Strength, not just kegels
Real strength work built around your life and sport, so results hold up outside the clinic.
$250 per session. Pay directly with HSA/FSA. Most clients get 60 to 70% back through out-of-network reimbursement with the superbill I provide.
Why I Do This Work
I trained in an Australian women's health hospital, where pelvic floor care is a free, standard part of having a baby. Moving back to the States, it shocked me how few people are ever told this care exists. During COVID, I helped design one of the first virtual pelvic floor programs so more people could reach it.
I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Pelvic Floor Specialist (ICE), and I treat the pelvic floor like any other part of a strong, active body: real assessment, real strength work, real answers.
"Emily is a knowledgeable physical therapist, but also an incredibly empathetic human who knows how to bring out what will work best for you. Her women's work is really special."

Common Questions
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No. California allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can book with me directly. If your insurance requires a referral for reimbursement, I'll help you figure that out on our free call.
What happens at the first visit?
We talk through your story first: symptoms, history, goals, and the life you want your body to keep up with. Then a whole-body movement assessment. Internal pelvic assessment can be part of it, but only if it's useful and only with your consent. You leave with a plan you understand.
Is this covered by insurance?
I'm out-of-network, which is what makes 60 to 90 minute one-on-one sessions possible. You can pay directly with HSA/FSA, and I provide a superbill after every session. Most clients with out-of-network benefits get 60 to 70% back.
Do you really treat men?
Yes, regularly. Pelvic pain, bladder and bowel symptoms, painful sex, post-surgical recovery, and stubborn hip or tailbone pain often trace back to the pelvic floor in men too. Care is private and judgment-free.
I'm pregnant. When should I start?
Any time, and earlier is better. First trimester is a perfect time to build your plan. Postpartum, I see clients as early as two weeks after birth.
For Providers
I welcome referrals from OBs, midwives, doulas, urologists, and orthopedic and primary care providers. Your patients get one-on-one doctor-level care with clear communication back to you. To refer, call or email with your patient's contact information and I'll reach out within one business day.
